What I do: Big picture editing often entails foundational changes like adding or deleting characters or rearranging scenes. In this stage, I’m analyzing the character depth and development, the strength of each section, and the interaction of the story elements. After this, you will have a refined niche and a cohesive plot and cast.

Scene (Content editing)

Who it’s for: You are satisfied with the structure of your story, but you want to improve reader engagement and ensure that each scene makes the right impression.
What I do: This stage of editing is about fleshing out scenes to immerse the reader and trimming off the fluff that distracts from the scene’s purpose. At the same time, I’m making sure the situations feel believable and checking the consistency of the characters and settings.

Style (Line + copy editing)

Who it’s for: You are satisfied with the content of the story; now it’s time to give it that professional polish.
What I do: In this stage, I’m looking at one line at a time, aiming for clear sentences, smooth transitions, and flawless grammar. Improving readability avoids misunderstandings and allows your audience to focus on the story rather than the words.
