Game design has been eating up the majority of my free time. I'm regularly hosting playtests now for Spies and the Party Dungeon Crawler and making major updates and balance changes in between. That said, I'm still writing. Of course, I'm still writing! I don't feel like me when I don't write something.
Write Night Stories
This is the third year of Write Night, my writing group's monthly gathering. We write flash fiction together based on creative prompts or tricky rules and then critique each other's work. (Read about some of our challenges here.) I added section for Write Night Stories on the Short Stories page. There you'll find new flash fiction: "Where's Zyerne?," "Reva: Rapunzel in Sci-Fi," and "Prepare for Hail." You'll also see the prompts that led to each story.
Poetry
"It's a Party Out There" continues my series of personal, psychological poems. It is a narrative about authentically navigating game night despite being overtired and overstimulated. "Choose to Dance" is a short, musical poem about making a moment special by being present and intentional. Read it on the Poems page.
